ETL Developer - Custom Development
Full Time Permanent Position in Columbus OH
The business driver for this initiative is to enable the enterprise to make effective decisions based on data, thus reducing risk for the business and enabling agility in the business. This multi-year program involves a new architecture, tools, and processes to build and implement this environment. It also involves conversion from the existing platform.
The manager for the team is seeking a strong developer to build ETL programs and processes for the new platform. This role will involve working with architects, business stakeholders, and team members to analyze the design, and do the detailed technical design and development for new ETL programs. The architecture and design for the ETL environment is custom development using Korn Shell Scripting (KSH), SQL, and related tools. The data warehouse environment is Teradata.
While a high degree of technical expertise is needed, this is not a “heads down” coding position. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with five or more years’ experience focused on the development of ETL processes. Technical expertise will focus on KSH, SQL, Linux / Unix, and related skills.
