Job summary

Canal Insurance Company, based in Greenville, SC, seeks an ETL Team Lead to own and optimize Canal's data pipelines and reporting datasets. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and refactor ETL workloads, collaborating with AMS and data engineers to ensure reliable, timely insights.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, familiarity with Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, and modern data tools, and a hands-on approach to data reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and maintaining end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with modern data platforms and data governance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement durable fixes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end operational support for Canal's data stack and ETL workloads.
• Monitor daily ETL loads across SQL jobs, DHIC, and SSIS packages.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures with AMS; perform root-cause analysis.
• Refactor or retire outdated ETL processes and optimize performance.
• Ensure SLA adherence and timely delivery of reporting datasets.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide onshore/offshore teammates.
