Job Description for ETL Data Conversion Analyst located in Chicago, IL. 24 Months + Extension. Employment Type: W-2, 1099, or C2C. Work authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, OPT-EAD, CPT, H-1B, H4-EAD, L2-EAD, GC-EAD. Client: To Be Discussed Later. Hourly rate: Depends on Experience (DOE).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and best practices for ETL.
• Perform data migration/conversion projects and manage database architecture and data modeling tasks.
• Support large-scale data migration initiatives and ensure data quality and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present technical designs to enterprise and client audiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 through current), T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines using SSIS and ETL best practices.
• 5+ years of experience in database architecture, data modeling, schema design, and large-scale data migration/conversion projects.
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2008 through current) and database platform deployment/administration.
• 4+ years of experience developing automation and application components using Microsoft .NET technologies (PowerShell, ASP.NET, C#).
• 4+ years of experience implementing SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping).
• 4+ years of equivalent combination of education, experience, or military service.

Experience That Would Be Great To Have

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Experience with cloud database platforms and migration tools (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, AWS RDS).
• Familiarity with T-SQL unit testing frameworks (e.g., tSQLt) and automated database CI/CD using Git/Azure DevOps.
• Experience with BI tooling and reporting (SSRS, Power BI) and data governance practices.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management and presenting technical designs to enterprise and client audiences.
