Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis seeks a detail-oriented Business Intake Specialist to support ethical walls and conflicts screening. You will work with attorneys, Risk Management, and the Office of General Counsel on new business intake and confidential information protection.

You’ll establish and monitor ethical walls, review screening data, draft communications, and help improve processes while delivering timely, accurate risk guidance across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience, including conflicts searching.
• Knowledge of conflicts of interest principles and screening processes.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer service and relationship-building across teams.
• Attention to detail with handling confidential information.
• Collaborative and adaptable in a global team.
• Availability for occasional evening/weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Establish, monitor, and deactivate ethical walls using Intapp WallBuilder.
• Review conflict analyses, retention letters, and waivers for access controls.
• Draft and distribute screening memoranda and related communications.
• Collaborate with attorneys, Risk Management, IT, and global teams.
• Address time-sensitive matters and ensure timely risk guidance.
• Identify process improvements to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
• Provide support to department leadership on special projects.
