Job summary

Conestogaenergy is seeking a Plant Operator to join our ethanol production team. You will monitor and operate the plant, collect samples, and ensure safe, efficient processes across milling, cooking, fermentation, and distillation stages.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures in varying outdoor conditions. Training is hands-on and designed to build growth within a four-member crew.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and at heights.
• Basic English skills (read, write, speak, comprehend).
• Commitment to safety above all else.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and analyze ethanol process.
• Report process variances to operators for corrective action.
• Learn and apply safe handling procedures for chemicals.
• Operate and monitor the plant through the DCS.
• Troubleshoot and support team members across plant processes.
• Perform light maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Manage inventory and follow SOPs for chemical additions.
• Uphold a safety-first culture.
