Job summary

Western New York Energy, LLC (WNYE) is a privately held company in Medina, NY that began operations in 2007. The Ethanol Plant Engineer role focuses on safety, reliability, efficiency, and production performance of our ethanol manufacturing facility.

You will work with operations, maintenance, lab, safety & environmental, and management to troubleshoot issues, reduce costs, and maintain safe plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Biochemical, or related engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer credential desired.
• Experience with process control systems and industrial data tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for fermentation, distillation, dehydration, and utilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve ethanol yield, energy efficiency, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot upsets, equipment failures, and quality deviations.
• Perform root-cause analyses and develop corrective actions.
• Develop capital and maintenance project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Support preventive maintenance and process safety practices.
• Coordinate with operators, maintenance, and management teams.
