Job summary

Crysalis Biosciences Inc. is seeking a Chemical Operator II/III to operate our process equipment and support production goals at our Sauget, IL facility. You'll monitor systems, document parameters, and help maintain safety and quality.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot, and collaboration with QA and maintenance teams. Prior experience with DCS or process control is valued, along with a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred for advanced levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; technical vocational training is an asset.
• DCS operation experience and proficiency with standard office software preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and basic quality-control experience in process environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant operations.
• Review plant operations to ensure quality and efficiency; anticipate and solve problems.
• Participate in projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Maintain records of production variables (volume, yield, uptime, utilities).
• Coordinate with QA for sampling and testing of process streams and products.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues.
• Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and manage chemical inventory.
