ETF Investment Research Analyst, Investment Research & Solutions
We are seeking an ETF Investment Research Analyst to support the research, analysis, and communication of our ETF strategies and model portfolios. This individual will work closely with the Senior ETF Strategist, Portfolio Managers, Marketing, Sales, and Distribution to develop investment insights, maintain product content, and provide analytical support across the firm’s ETF lineup.
The role is well suited for an investment professional who enjoys working with portfolio data, researching financial markets, and translating investment analysis into clear and useful materials for financial advisors, institutional clients, and internal distribution teams.
The ETF Investment Research Analyst will be a hands-on contributor responsible for portfolio analysis, competitive research, content development, data maintenance, and responding to investment-related requests from wholesalers and key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior ETF Strategist and Portfolio Managers in researching, analyzing, and communicating the firm’s ETF strategies and model portfolios
- Conduct portfolio, market, and competitive analysis across the firm’s ETF lineup
- Analyze portfolio holdings, sector and industry exposures, factor characteristics, valuation metrics, performance drivers, and risk measures
- Prepare performance attribution and portfolio-positioning analysis for internal and external use
- Work closely with Marketing to create and maintain investment content, including:
- Presentations
- Fact sheets
- Market commentaries
- Advisor and client communications
- Review and validate investment data used in marketing materials, sales presentations, reporting systems, and digital content
- Provide wholesalers and distribution teams with timely analysis on fund performance, portfolio positioning, competitive comparisons, and market developments
- Prepare fund comparisons that identify differences in investment process, portfolio construction, exposures, performance, and potential portfolio applications
- Help translate portfolio and market analysis into clear investment narratives and talking points for sales teams and clients
- Support the development of white papers, research reports, market commentary, and investment insights
- Monitor financial markets, ETF industry developments, competitor activity, and trends across different asset classes
- Respond to due-diligence questionnaires, key account requests, consultant inquiries, and other client-related research needs
- Assist with the preparation of investment committee, board, compliance, and product-review materials
- Maintain portfolio, performance, benchmark, and strategy data used across investment, marketing, sales, and reporting systems
- Support the maintenance and distribution of model portfolios and SMA strategies across third-party platforms
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management, Marketing, Compliance, Product, and Distribution to ensure investment information is accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule
- Contribute ideas for new research topics, client content, portfolio solutions, and product positioning
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in investment research, portfolio analysis, asset management, ETF product strategy, performance analytics, or a related investment role
- Strong understanding of equity markets, investment fundamentals, portfolio construction, and performance measurement
- Familiarity with ETFs, mutual funds, indexes, or model portfolios
- Experience analyzing investment portfolios and working with holdings, performance, benchmark, and market data
- Ability to interpret quantitative information and communicate the key conclusions clearly
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn investment analysis into concise and accessible content
- Experience creating or supporting investment presentations, reports, commentary, or other client-facing materials
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate investment data and content
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with investment research platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or Morningstar Direct
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward the CFA designation or another relevant professional credential
- Experience working for an ETF sponsor, asset manager, index provider, wealth management firm, or investment research organization
- Familiarity with performance attribution, factor analysis, portfolio analytics, and competitive fund research
- Experience supporting financial advisors, institutional clients, wholesalers, or asset-management distribution teams
- Familiarity with fixed income, asset allocation, alternatives, or multi-asset portfolios

The successful candidate will become a reliable analytical resource for the Investment Research & Solutions, Portfolio Management, Marketing, and Distribution teams. This individual will help ensure that the firm’s ETF strategies are supported by accurate analysis, differentiated insights, and clear investment communication.
Over time, the analyst will develop deeper expertise across the firm’s strategies, expand their research and writing responsibilities, and take a more active role in developing investment insights, product positioning, and portfolio solutions.
This is an in-office position in Malvern, PA home office, 5 days per week.
