Job Description:

The Role

As anETF & Alternative Asset Analyst Team Lead within the ETF Operations team, you will be involved in all aspects of operations performed by the team. In conjunction with building and maintaining AP relationships, the focus on this team will include trade confirmation, instruction, settlements and use of collateral. This will be a collaborative role with the rest of trade operations and the ETF services organization in Fidelity's Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO).

  • Handle AP inquiries related to creation/redemption activity
  • Provide expertise in ETF product development and implementation
  • Provide training as subject matter expert (SME)
  • Provide ETF subject matter expertise and knowledge to support development of Fidelity’s ETF capabilities
  • Create / update operational processes and procedures for new products
  • Works to recommend changes to systems, processes, responsibilities, etc.
  • Participate in testing of new technology prior to roll out into production and reports results to peers and managers
  • Escalates operational incidents to senior management
  • Maintains relationships with business partners and expectations of service levels

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in an ETF operations environment
  • ETF servicing experience including basket processing, collateral management, settlements, fails resolution, and AP/order management.
  • Strong understanding of the ETF industry with an ability to adapt to and support regulatory changes.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Flexibility and the ability to both take the lead and contribute to daily deliverables for the team are required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver cogent, insightful updates to all levels of operations leadership.
  • Familiarity with digital assets and digital asset servicing.
  • Demonstrated experience in workflow, process, and procedure development.
  • Understanding of ETF middle office functions including: trade enrichment, trade instructions, settlements, fails resolution, and ability to articulate and escalate issues in a proactive and actionable fashion.

The Team

The ETF Operations Team is part of the Global Middle Office division within FFIO’s business unit. The Global Middle Office division provides full middle office operational support to Fidelity Retail and Institutional products. The ETF Operations team provides end-to-end trade operational support for Fidelity’s ETF funds within FFIO.
