Job summary

VACCO Industries in California is seeking a dedicated operator to run precision etching equipment and help meet daily production goals while upholding environmental, health, and safety standards.

You will follow procedures, operate a range of process equipment, read mechanical drawings, inspect results, wear PPE when required, and support other production areas as needed to achieve company-wide goals.

Qualifications

• Experience operating precision etching equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read basic process instructions and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work in an on-site manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical etching equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
• Follow all written procedures and coordinate with process engineer when abnormal conditions are encountered.
• Participate in end of shift turnovers with ability to effectively communicate.
• Operate equipment (pumps, GLV's, filter presses, reactors, valves, pH probes, ovens, forklifts, etc) independently after initial training is complete.
• Understand basic chemical reactions and proper handling of chemicals within the work area.
• Handle and process hazardous waste as required within the work area.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Operate precision inspection equipment and record results.
• May be required to wear hearing protection, half-mask respirator, and other forms of PPE.
• Support other production areas and departments as needed to meet company-wide goals.
