Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an equipment engineer to join the team dedicated to establishing and maintaining world-class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage. The role focuses on identifying complex problems and delivering effective solutions within a fast-paced semiconductor factory environment.

The incumbent will work with Equipment/Process Technicians and other Engineers to support troubleshooting, tool qualifications, and 5S/lean initiatives,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of industry experience.
• 300mm Dry Etch experience highly desired.
• Familiar with Etch Equipment (Lam/TEL/AMAT/Hitachi/SEMES/Mattson/PSK).
• Familiar with TPM concepts and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance with root cause analysis and 5S practices.
• Run experiments and analyze data to improve capacity and reduce tool-to-tool variation.
• Perform trend monitoring and drive corrective actions with Tool Owners.
• Apply TPM concepts to implement long-term preventive solutions.
• Attend passdown meetings to communicate factory state with Equipment teams.
