  • Assist with Tool Failures/Interrupts: diagnose issues and support recovery with equipment engineers.
  • Process Optimization: adjust process recipes/sequences with engineers and verify changes.
  • Quality Investigation: collect data, quarantine affected lots, and set up measurements as needed.
  • Collaboration and Support: provide hands-on support to Process Engineering and work with Manufacturing and Equipment Technicians.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Equipment Technicians to achieve operational goals.

As a technician, your role is crucial in maintaining smooth factory operations and ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes.

Key responsibilities and duties

Shift: Nights 2, Thu-Sat and alt Wed, 6pm-6am

Responsibilities: Sustaining Factory Operations:

  • Dispositioning Lot Holds: You’ll follow recovery specifications to safely recover and dispose of discrepant material. This involves assessing the status of production lots and making informed decisions on their disposition.
  • Assisting with Tool Failures/Interrupts: When equipment or tools encounter issues, you’ll be there to diagnose and assist in resolving any interruptions promptly. Working with Equipment Engineering Technicians closely on any handling or unrecoverable faults to recover production wafers from chambers.
  • Process Optimization: Adjusting Process Recipes/Sequences: You’ll work closely with process engineers to fine-tune process parameters at their direction and verify process recipes/sequences. Attention to detail is critical here.
  • Quality Investigation: Investigating Quality Events: When quality issues arise (such as defects or deviations), you’ll collect relevant data, quarantine impacted lots, and setup measurement requests as needed.
  • Collaboration and Support: Direct Assistance to Process Engineering Team: You’ll collaborate directly with process engineers, providing hands‑on support for process development experiments, process engineering troubleshooting on SPC OOCs/Defect Alerts/etc., and data collection from Metrology tools/Process Tools. Partnering with Manufacturing and Equipment Technicians: As needed, you’ll work alongside manufacturing and equipment technicians to achieve operational goals within your assigned area.

  • 2+ years in Plasma/Wet Etch Area for familiarity with Etch equipment

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $28 to $35. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
