Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Full Stack Architect to design, build, and govern scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. The role spans front-end, back-end, microservices, cloud, and DevOps, guiding teams and defining technical standards.

The candidate will own end-to-end architecture, drive cloud adoption, and lead CI/CD practices while mentoring developers and collaborating across UI, backend, QA, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 18+ years of overall IT experience and 5+ years in an architect role.
• Strong hands-on experience across front-end, back-end, microservices, cloud, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end full stack architecture for web and enterprise applications.
• Define and implement microservices-based architectures using modern frameworks.
• Own application design decisions including scalability, performance, security, and resilience.
• Develop and review backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with UI, backend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure alignment.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural best practices, and design patterns.
• Perform code reviews and mentor senior and junior developers.
• Drive cloud adoption, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Backend

• Strong expertise in Java (Core Java, Java 8+)
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate
• RESTful API design, Microservices architecture
• Messaging/Event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)

Frontend

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Modern frameworks: Angular / React
• Experience with responsive UI and reusable component design

Databases

• Relational: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• NoSQL: MongoDB
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills

Cloud & DevOps

• Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Maven
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Monitoring & logging tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Splunk)

Testing & Quality

• Experience with Unit, Integration, and Regression testing

Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Other Requirements

• Exposure to API gateways and integration platforms.
• Experience with gRPC communication.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic).
• Domain experience in Banking / Financial Services.

Familiarity with AI/ML integration at an enterprise level
