Scituate Public School District is seeking two ESY Occupational Therapists for Summer 2026 to support Pre-K through 12th grade students. The OT will focus on fine motor and sensory goals and provide direct instruction to students with disabilities.

Qualifications

Job Description

There are 2 available ESY Occupational Therapist positions:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Special Education ESY Occupational Therapist’s primary responsibility is to work with students on their IEP fine motor and sensory goals in order to prevent substantial regression and promote student achievement. The OT provides direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUITES & RESPONSIILITIES:

  • Plan and implement evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students and/or groups of students based on their individual needs.
  • Adapt materials to assist students with disabilities to access the curriculum.
  • Implement instruction and interventions to work on students’ IEP goals in the area of fine motor and sensory skills
  • Make data-driven instructional decisions to improve student outcomes.
  • Collect data on student performance to improve student outcomes and direct instruction.
  • Monitor student progress and complete a progress report for each student..
  • Communicate with parents and other appropriate school personnel if needed.
  • Take student attendance for each class or session.
  • Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws and appropriate ethical standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Massachusetts license as an Occupational Therapist
  • A minimum of two years' successful experience as an OT
  • Expertise with specially designed instruction in the field of occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of the requirements of state and federal regulations
  • Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:

  • Master's Degree
  • A minimum of two years' successful experience as an OT in a public school setting at the assigned level

Part-time, Summer 2026, Pay is $53.87 per hour
