Job summary

Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber and Lyman Lumber Companies, divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an Estimator to prepare material estimates and bid proposals for construction projects in Saint Louis Park, MN. You will coordinate with suppliers, read complex blueprints, and train staff in estimating techniques.

This role requires 1-3 years in construction materials, accuracy, and strong math and communication skills.

• Control expenditures to conform to company budgetary requirements.

Job description

A Brief Overview

The Estimator uses computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an estimation of the amount of material needed for the construction of a home in accordance with Company policies.

Pay Rate

$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare accurate estimates for window materials.

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years construction and building materials related experience required.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.
• Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software.
• Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of measurements and basic math principles.
