Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking Estimators to support utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS project cost estimation across North America. The role covers Estimator II and Senior Estimator levels with placement based on experience and scope.

You will develop BOP cost estimates, review drawings, and collaborate with engineering, construction, and suppliers to ensure accurate budgeting and project feasibility.

Qualifications

  • Four‑year degree or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant construction estimating experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant construction estimating experience for Estimator II; minimum five (5) years of relevant estimating experience for Senior Estimator, with level also determined by scope, complexity, and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience estimating construction costs for utility-scale renewable energy, power, heavy civil, or comparable infrastructure projects; direct BOP estimating experience for wind, solar, and/or BESS is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HeavyBid or other heavy-construction estimating software and electronic cost-data resources such as RSMeans
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, maps, conceptual designs, and equipment information to develop complete estimates
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; GIS, AutoCAD, or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Ability to develop productive relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams

What You Can Expect

ENGIE is seeking Estimators to support the development and execution of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across North America. This evergreen opportunity is designed to identify talent at the Estimator II and Senior Estimator levels, with placement determined based on experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated scope of responsibility.

As part of the estimating team, you will develop Balance of Plant (BOP) construction estimates that support project feasibility, budgeting, development, and execution. You will work with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, contractors, suppliers, and other partners to evaluate scope, develop pricing, assess cost impacts, and provide reliable construction cost information throughout the project lifecycle.

Additional Details
  • These positions are eligible for ENGIE's hybrid work policy and are not eligible for fully remote work
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time, including occasional overnight travel
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record to operate company, hire, or rental vehicles as needed for site visits
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Must be able to conduct site visits, attend project site meetings, and walk renewable energy project sites for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Compensation

We are recruiting across two levels, and we will determine appropriate placement based on the candidate's experience and scope. Salary Range will be included in the formal job posting once a specific level of opportunity is determined and posted.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
