Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Underground Estimator to join our team in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on quantity estimates for water, sewer, and storm projects, with take-offs from plans and specs using Planswift and estimates using HCSS Heavy Bid.

You will coordinate with the Chief Estimator and vendors to compile accurate proposals. We require at least 5 years of underground utilities construction experience, knowledge of MAG standards, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of construction experience in underground utilities.
• Thorough knowledge of estimating process.
• Knowledge of MAG Standard Specifications and local MAG Supplements
• Excellent organization skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Must be able to work under stressful situations
• Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision
• Experience using HCSS Heavy Bid, Planswift, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel

Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of construction experience in Underground Utilities-water, sewer and storm on private or public projects
• Must have thorough knowledge of the estimating process
• Must have knowledge in MAG Standard Specifications and Standard Details, as well as local supplements to MAG Specifications
• Excellent organization skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to work under stressful situations
• Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision
• Experience using various computer systems with preferences in HCSS Heavy Bid, Planswift, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel
