CDM Smith in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced estimator to join our project controls team. You will produce quantity take-offs, price materials, and develop budgets for a variety of engineering projects.

Daily duties include analyzing drawings, coordinating vendor pricing, and maintaining document flow through the estimate process. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualified candidates have 5 years of related experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Travel frequency is contingent on duties and workload.

Responsabilités

• Produce accurate quantity and material take-offs by reviewing plans, specs, and instructions.
• Enter quantity take-offs and material unit pricing for estimate preparation.
• Coordinate estimate material pricing from vendors and other sources.
• Develop pricing for basic project elements and WBS.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Support conceptual estimating efforts and develop basic models.
• Develop budgets and purchasing plans with oversight.
• Coordinate flow of documents during estimate prep.
