Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG), part of RPM International, seeks a Senior Estimator for our Coppell, TX location to provide detailed material takeoffs and project estimates for panelization, facades and roofing. You will interpret specifications and drawings, manage estimates, and deliver accurate cost data leveraging 5+ years in commercial construction and proficiency with estimating software.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in commercial construction or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in commercial construction or similar.
• Metal roofing experience with detailed takeoffs and estimates.
• Experience with estimating software: On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam or similar; Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement estimating processes and on-screen takeoffs to support sales and clients.
• Follow procedures for project estimating and manufacturing process development.
• Prepare estimates from specifications, drawings, addenda, RFIs and related documents for bidding.
• Interpret construction schedules to plan material installations and costs.
• Compute overall project costs including labor and fabrication; maintain project cost databases.
• Assist in creating catalog text/illustrations for new product launches.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Senior Estimator supports the Panelization/Facades /Roofing business by providing detailed material takeoffs, project estimates, and technical details for client inquiries.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes for estimating, on-screen material takeoff, and scope reviews to provide added value to the extended sales team and client base.
• Follow standard operating procedures for project estimating and manufacturing process development.
• Prepare all aspects of an estimate including interpreting specifications and architectural drawings, understanding addendums, RFIs, and all other related documents that pertain to the project for bidding purposes.
• Interpret the construction schedule for materials to be installed.
• Compute overall costs associated with the project (field labor, fabrication)
• Create and maintain a database for all projects to include all job cost estimate breakdown documentation provided to the project coordination team.
• Assist in the development of written text/illustrations for catalog and installation or design support literature for new product launches.
• Convert AutoCAD documents to PDF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, WMF, and other file formats.

Education Requirement

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Commercial Construction or similar preferred

Experience Requirement

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction, technical service, or similar
• Metal commercial roofing experience providing detailed material takeoffs, project estimates, and technical details for client inquiries

WORK LOCATION:

This is an onsite role at our Coppell, TX location.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Benefits And Compensation

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $85,000 and $105,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
