Job summary

Great Place Construction, a private firm specializing in commercial projects, is seeking an Estimator to join the pre-construction team in Sioux Falls. You will generate project estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and solicit subcontractor bids to ensure competitive, accurate proposals.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and familiarity with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and ISqFT. We offer full benefits and a hybrid work environment.

Great Place Construction is a private construction firm that specializes in commercial construction. We are seeking an Estimator to join our team to calculate, compile and prepare estimates as part of the pre-construction team. DUTIES:

• Generate project estimates.
• Complete quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit specialty contractors to obtain estimates.
• Maintain specialty contractor database to insure current information and inclusion of new potential bidders.
• Assist in preparation of request for proposal documents.
• Support management team in maintain and updating estimating software/database.
• Coordinate bid document sharing with all process stakeholders.
• Be an active participant in elevating yourself and the team around you.
• Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Bachelors degree or working toward a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Familiarity with commercial estimating techniques and software: On-Screen Take off, Bluebeam, ISqFT, etc.
• Valid DL and good driving record
