Job summary

MKT Metal Manufacturing in York, PA is seeking an on-site Estimator (Sheet Metal Ductwork) to analyze project specs and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for commercial and industrial ductwork.

You will collaborate with Sales and production teams, compile material and labor costs, maintain detailed project records, and communicate with contractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and project specifications.
• Experience with cost estimation tools, techniques, and software relevant to the HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork, and associated materials.
• Data analysis, numerical accuracy, and detailed record-keeping.
• Effective communication and teamwork with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as an Estimator (Sheet Metal Ductwork) located in York, PA. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates. Day-to-day tasks include preparing proposals, collaborating with the sales and production teams, compiling material and labor costs, and maintaining detailed project documentation. The Estimator will also communicate with contractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and effective project execution.
