Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop is seeking an Estimator to bridge customers and product offerings, turning drawings into accurate cost proposals.

Youll evaluate bid documents, collaborate with sales and PM teams, and prepare timely estimates using take-offs and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience within the glass fabrication and installation industry.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Excel for cost analysis.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Get to Do

As an Estimator, you'll be the trusted link between our customers and the products that bring their architectural vision to life. You'll evaluate bid specifications and drawings, build accurate cost proposals, and partner closely with our sales and project management teams to help win and deliver great projects. Job responsibilities include:

• Build strong working knowledge of our clients, products, and services
• Listen closely to customer needs, respond with empathy, and advocate on their behalf
• Prepare accurate, timely cost proposals and estimates from architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings and elevation take-offs
• Use estimating software and take-off tools to develop detailed, competitive bids
• Track market pricing trends and provide feedback to strengthen future proposals
• Maintain organized, detailed records of bid documents and project information
• Collaborate with sales, customers and internal teams to keep projects moving
• Help resolve product or service issues from identifying the cause to following through on a solution

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience within the industry glass fabrication and installation
• Advancedproficiencyin reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and technical shop drawings.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and strong in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
• Strong math and geometry skills,and comfort reading architectural drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software (training provided for the right candidate)
• A self-starter mindset organized, able to juggle multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication

Position Pay Range

$65,000 - $72,000 USD
