Job summary

D&S Automotive is seeking an Estimator/Repair Planner in Mentor, OH. The role leads vehicle damage assessment, creates accurate estimates, and communicates repair plans to customers and insurers.

The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and familiarity with estimating software. We offer a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri 7:45 am–5:30 pm) with benefits, training opportunities, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years auto body estimating experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/credit check.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Proficiency with CCC One estimating program (or equivalent) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage documentation of damage using the estimating system and digital photos.
• Establish a realistic repair plan based on parts delivery dates and shop volume.
• Create repair estimates and explain processes, parts used, and expectations to customers.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts for repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

About the Position

Please note during the first 90 days of employment, there may be occasional mandatory training at D&S Automotive's HQ which is located in Mentor, OH. Gas mileage will be paid for the trainings. In addition upon the successful completion of your 90 days, you will be eligible for an $1500.00 sign-on bonus.

The Repair Planners/Estimators at D&S Automotive lead the team that disassembles vehicles, thoroughly inspects them for damage, and properly documents all damage. The Repair Planner/Estimator's conclusions will then be made into an estimate and submitted to the insurance company or the customer for permission.

This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7:45 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. Essential Job Functions

• Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage all documentation of damage by utilizing our estimating system and taking digital photos
• Assist in establishing a realistic repair plan based on parts' delivery dates and current shop volume
• Create an estimate for repairs
• Explain repair process, parts used for repairs, and expectations for repairs to the customer
• Work with the Parts Department to acquire needed parts to complete repair
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of auto body estimating experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background/credit check
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
• Skillful with the CCC One estimating program or equivalent
