Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking a skilled Paint Estimator to prepare and submit bids for commercial and industrial painting projects in the United States. You will review scopes, perform on-screen takeoffs, and use PlanSwift or equivalent software to generate accurate bids.

The role requires experience estimating projects over 500,000 dollars, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining client relationships. Hybrid work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of paint estimating or construction costing experience.
• Residential or commercial construction estimating experience.
• Commercial and industrial painting estimating experience preferred.
• Experience estimating projects exceeding 500000 dollars.
• Proficiency with digital on screen takeoff.
• Proficiency with PlanSwift or equivalent estimating software.
• Strong understanding of painting production rates.
• Knowledge of material consumption rates and equipment requirements.
• Ability to understand and document project scope and site conditions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to use technology effectively.
• Self motivated and detail oriented.
• Ability to perform occasional field takeoffs and jobsite visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for commercial and industrial painting projects.
• Bid painting projects exceeding 500000 dollars.
• Review project scopes, drawings, site conditions, and specifications.
• Perform digital on screen quantity takeoffs.
• Use estimating software to prepare accurate project bids.
• Apply production rates, consumption rates, and equipment requirements to estimates.
• Accurately document project scope and working conditions.
• Manage daily estimating activities and weekly bid priorities.
• Monitor and manage estimating team output.
• Maintain bid logs and track bid opportunities.
• Monitor bid service websites and incoming bid requests.
• Schedule nationwide project site surveys.
• Conduct occasional field site takeoffs and jobsite visits.
• Negotiate subcontracts when required.
• Develop new client relationships and maintain existing client relationships.
• Utilize technology to improve client service and estimating processes.
• Support project management activities as needed.
