Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

A civil estimator/project manager specializing in site work and utilities is responsible for accurately estimating costs, materials, and timelines for excavation, grading, and underground utility installations while ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations. They also oversee project execution, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver site development and utility infrastructure on time and within budget.

Our client is a 100% women-owned foundation construction contractor with an office in New Jersey. Founded in 2003, the company provides turnkey services for utility infrastructure and heavy civil projects, specializing in foundation drilling, rebar cage construction, concrete pumping and pouring, anchor bolt cage setting, and site cleanup and grading. They serve sectors such as utility systems, road and bridge construction, and building projects, and are recognized as one of the largest women-owned foundation drilling firms in the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Estimate Costs and Resources: Prepare detailed cost estimates for site work and utility projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Analyze Plans and Specifications: Review engineering drawings, bid documents, and project requirements to ensure accurate scope coverage.
  • Budget and Scheduling: Develop project budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor progress, quality, and safety during construction, resolving issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to local codes, environmental regulations, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
