We’re looking for an Estimator (Preconstruction) to own scope development, pricing, and pre‑build clarity for residential remodeling projects. This role partners closely with leadership, sales, and production to ensure projects launch cleanly, profitably, and without surprises. This is not a sales role. You will not be responsible for closing deals. Your value is accuracy, clarity, and disciplined preconstruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scopes of work for residential remodeling projects
• Create accurate, defensible estimates based on drawings, site conditions, and design intent
• Evaluate trade pricing and validate assumptions
• Identify scope gaps, risk areas, and cost drivers before contract execution
• Prepare clear, professional estimate documentation for internal use
• Partner with sales to support pricing clarity (without selling)
• Work with production to ensure scopes align with field execution
• Participate in preconstruction and handoff meetings
• Answer scope and pricing questions during project launch
• Maintain organized estimating files and historical pricing data
• Update estimates as designs evolve
• Use CRM/estimating systems consistently and accurately
• Support continuous improvement of estimating standards and templates

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of residential remodeling or estimating experience
• Experience estimating residential remodeling or construction projects
• Strong understanding of remodeling sequencing, materials, and labor
• High attention to detail and comfort with complex scopes
• Ability to think critically about constructability and risk
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable collaborating across departments
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience with estimating and project management software
• Familiarity with design-build environments
