Job summary

Bay Family of Companies’ Bay Insulation Systems is seeking an Estimator in Roanoke, VA to manage quote-to-fulfillment, coordinating material orders and sales processing from an in-office location. You will liaise with Project Managers, Builders and District Sales Managers to ensure on-time delivery and accurate estimates.

The role emphasizes strong math skills, blueprint reading, and proficiency with Excel/Word, with experience in manufacturing estimatings considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and construction background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; capable of learning multiple software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide material estimates requested by sales/customers.
• Meets deadlines and scheduled delivery dates.
• Provide material take-offs from job estimates.
• Works closely with our customer’s Project Managers, Builders and Bay’s District Sales Managers.
• Coordinate ordering of materials and follow up on deliveries as needed.
• Coordinates job flow including delegating and follow-up.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills to build rapport and maintain communication with Sales Representatives and customer contacts.

Requirements

• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
