Job summary

Pacific Shipyards International (PSI) in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks an Estimator/Planner to join our estimating team. The role focuses on developing cost estimates to support ship repair contracts with DoD and commercial clients, coordinating with multiple departments to determine material and labor needs for repairs, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of estimating experience (marine/industrial preferred), shipyard familiarity, and a background in reading

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional estimating experience, preferably in marine or industrial industry.
• Shipyard experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor of Science recommended.
• Knowledge of Navy ships beneficial.
• Former Navy personnel beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and technical proposals.
• Ability to read detailed drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Engage in PSI's collaborative estimating process and bid reviews.
• Attend ship checks.
• Participate in business development.
• Strong team player with on-site work hours required.
