Job summary

The TELTRON DESIGN GROUP is seeking a Junior Estimator to assist in reviewing construction documents, perform takeoffs, obtain vendor pricing, and prepare estimates and proposals. The role focuses on identifying bidding opportunities across structured cabling, fiber optics, network infrastructure, data center infrastructure, access control, audiovisual, security, and related tech systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in construction, estimating, telecommunications, low-voltage, electrical, or related field.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and installation methods.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to meet bid deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and identify projects and scopes.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs and obtain vendor pricing.
• Prepare estimates and develop professional proposals.
• Identify scopes of work for bidding opportunities (e.g., structured cabling, fiber optics, network infrastructure, data center infrastructure, access control, audiovisual, security, etc.).
• Coordinate with Teltron management, project managers, field technicians, general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and clients.
• Site visits and pre-bid activities.
• Estimating coordination.

The Junior Estimator will assist in reviewing construction documents, identifying projects and scopes that align with Teltron's capabilities, performing material and labor takeoffs, obtaining vendor pricing, preparing estimates, and developing professional proposals.

A key responsibility of this position is to identify scopes of work for which Teltron can and should pursue bidding opportunities, including structured cabling, fiber optics, network infrastructure, data center infrastructure, access control, audiovisual, security, and related technology systems.
