Job summary

Sunstall Inc. is seeking an Estimator for Industrial Coatings to develop timely, accurate estimates for industrial coating projects.

You will review RFQs, determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements, and prepare estimates following Marquis estimating processes. You will serve as a customer-facing resource, building strong relationships, participating in meetings and site visits, and communicating with customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Develop accurate and competitive estimates for industrial coating projects.
• Review RFQ packages, drawings, specifications to identify scope, requirements, exclusions and risks.
• Coordinate with operations, project management, procurement, safety to obtain information for estimates.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, field personnel and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and site safety requirements.
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing from specifications and drawings.
• Prepare and present estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform site visits and plant walkthroughs as necessary to understand scope.
• Track submitted estimates and opportunities and maintain estimating records.
• Meet deadlines and communicate delays or challenges to management.

PositionSummary

TheEstimator–IndustrialCoatingsisresponsiblefordevelopingtimely,accurate,andcompetitiveestimatesforindustrialcoatingprojects.Thispositionevaluatescustomerrequestsforquotation(RFQs),determinesmaterial,labor,equipment,andsubcontractorrequirements,andpreparesestimatesinaccordancewithMarquisestimatingprocessesandstandards.

TheEstimatoralsoservesasacustomer-facingresource,developingandmaintainingstrongcustomerrelationships,participatingincustomermeetingsandsitevisits,andidentifyingopportunitiestosupportthecompany'sgrowth.Thesuccessfulcandidatewilldemonstratestrongestimatingskills,attentiontodetail,soundbusinessjudgment,andtheabilitytoeffectivelycommunicatewithcustomers,vendors,fieldpersonnel,andinternalstakeholders.

Thepositionmayalsorequirevisitstoindustrialfacilities,customerlocations,andactiveconstructionsites.Appropriatepersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andcompliancewithapplicablesitesafetyrequirementsarerequiredwhenvisitingjobsites.
