Job summary

DBI Consultants is seeking Junior Estimators for a 10-week, 2027 Summer internship across multiple US locations, including Dallas. This paid internship combines field data gathering with cost estimating training and expert speaker sessions, culminating in a capstone presentation.

The goal is to hire 90% of juniors into entry-level permanent roles after graduation. You will work with experienced estimators and project managers, visiting project sites, gathering data, and learning to prepare cost

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in the AEC field.
• Strong interest in construction consulting, estimating, and project management.
• Willingness to travel locally and work in office or on-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site visits to collect measurements and details.
• Support labor, materials, and timeline analysis for estimates.
• Help track costs and compare projections to actuals.
• Prepare professional reports and data entries in estimating tools.
• Gain experience with estimating software like Xactimate and Bluebeam Revu.
