Gray Construction in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Project Engineer to join the pre-construction team. You will assist with estimating project costs, develop quantity takeoffs, and coordinate bids with subcontractors to support accurate pricing and timely proposals.
The role collaborates with operations, design management, procurement, and scheduling to ensure constructability and pricing accuracy while using Gray's pre-construction tools and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Engineer will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, helping to estimate project costs and coordinate bids with subcontractors. This position is based out of our Birmingham, AL office.

Who we want
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum oftwoyears related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in standard business and pre-construction software tools, including document preparation, spreadsheets, email, andestimating‑relatedapplications.
Experience with large-scale, non-residential construction projects is preferred.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.
Should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
Strong communication skills.
