Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking an Estimator in Madison, WI to prepare cost estimates for private, municipal, state, and federal projects. You will interpret plans, reference historical data, and support cost analysis for change orders and contracts.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Project Managers, assembling procurement documents, and presenting estimates for bids using AASHTOWare and Expedite Bid. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of schooling and relevant work experience.
• Experience in heavy civil, commercial or industrial estimating is preferred.
• Strong technical writing and proposal development skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for private and public entities.
• Interpret plans and specifications and conduct pre-estimate site reviews.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on cost reviews and change orders.
