LVI Associates is partnering with a growing exterior restoration contractor to hire an Estimator in the Destin, Florida market. The role supports a portfolio of restoration and rehabilitation projects, focusing on building envelope, waterproofing, and concrete restoration.

You will work with an experienced team to develop accurate, competitive estimates and contribute to bid strategy and project handoffs. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in estimating for exterior restoration or related fields,

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating experience in exterior restoration, building envelope, waterproofing, concrete restoration, or commercial construction.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for exterior restoration, waterproofing, concrete restoration, and building envelope projects.
• Review project plans, specs, drawings, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs.
• Develop budgets, value engineering options, and cost analyses.
• Collaborate with operations and project management during handoff.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Track market conditions and pricing trends to ensure competitive bids.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for exterior restoration, waterproofing, concrete restoration, and building envelope projects

Preferred Background

• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials


• Experience performing quantity take-offs and preparing detailed project estimates


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications


• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills


• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite


• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
