Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an estimator for a well-established commercial construction company in Woburn, MA. Prepare accurate estimates, review plans, and manage bid packages for diverse scopes including drywall, ceilings, doors, hardware, and specialties.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year estimating experience in commercial construction, reads plans, and can work in a fast-paced bid environment; sponsorship is not available. This role offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year estimating experience in construction.
• Experience with commercial scopes including Division 10, drywall, doors, frames, hardware, acoustical ceilings is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, drawings, and construction documents.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and bid packages for commercial construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents to identify scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Estimate Division 10 specialties and related scopes (drywall, acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, hardware).
• Research and apply local material, labor, equipment, code, and market cost information.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
• Support project engineers, assistant estimators, and junior team members as needed.
• Contribute to a high-performing estimating team focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and winning quality work.

Location

This is an on-site position based in Woburn, MA, offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced pre-construction and operations team in a strong Greater Boston construction market.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
