Job summary

Jobot is seeking an MEP Estimator to join our Rochester, MN operations. The role focuses on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, spanning sheet metal, piping, and plumbing.

This backfill position offers cross-training and knowledge transfer opportunities, reporting to the Chief Estimator and collaborating across offices. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze drawings and specs, and support bid strategies across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pure estimating experience within commercial MEP environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (sheet metal, piping, plumbing).
• Experience working on projects ranging from several million to $100M.
• Background in a commercial mechanical contractor environment (preferred over GC estimating).
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and offices.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Job Details

We are seeking an MEP Estimator to join our team supporting our Rochester operations. This role is a backfill for a retiring team member and offers the opportunity for cross-training and knowledge transfer. You will focus on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, working across sheet metal, piping, and plumbing scopes.

This individual will play a key role in both executing estimates and helping elevate the overall estimating function. You will report directly to the Chief Estimator and collaborate across offices on a variety of project types.
