Job summary

NexGen Contracting, based in Franklin, TN, is seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to review RFPs, perform quantity take-offs, and compile cost estimates for bidding on commercial concrete projects.

You will solicit bids, verify scopes, prepare proposals, and participate in bid review and pre-award meetings while supporting the Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 4 years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years cost estimating for large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% (in-state and out-of-state).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating tools.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC; Sage Estimating and Planswift a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work extended hours as required by project schedules.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Position Overview: NexGen Contracting is seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator responsible for reviewing RFPs, completing quantity take-offs, compiling cost estimates, soliciting bids, verifying scopes, preparing proposals, and participating in bid review, pre-award and post-bid meetings. This role also involves assisting the Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager as required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience cost estimating for successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Ability to work extended hours as required by projects schedules or urgent circumstances.
• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time (in-state and out-of-state).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sage Estimating and Planswift is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective planning and resource management skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
