You will analyze drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accurate estimates and will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for estimates and identify cost factors.

Qualifications

• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn flooring and drywall estimating.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy.
• Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine best value.
• Present cost summaries and reports to management.
• Stay informed on material pricing, industry trends, and construction methods.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather project details.
• Support estimating and project teams with pricing and planning.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist with scheduling input.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with internal and external partners.
