Job Overview

Forsythe DC is seeking a motivated Estimator to contribute to our commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include specification review, cost analysis, scheduling, risk assessment, and takeoff development for building envelope projects such as masonry, waterproofing, air barriers, and roofing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the full estimating process, from pre-bid to final cost analysis.
• Review specifications, drawings, and amendments to determine project scope.
• Identify and assess project risks and impacts.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and evaluate GC requirements, site logistics, and scopes of work.
• Generate and manage takeoffs and estimates for disciplines including civil work, masonry, waterproofing, glazing, and finishes.
• Develop accurate cost estimates through full quantity take-offs.
• Collaborate with project teams for accurate cost assessments and bidding.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within commercial construction or building envelope projects is preferred.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and amendments.
• Skills in cost analysis, risk assessment, and takeoff generation.
• Experience with estimating software is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
