Job summary

Dynamic Construction Group, based in the Kansas City area, seeks a Construction Estimator to own the estimating function and support growth across commercial projects. This role offers direct visibility to leadership and a chance to influence processes and outcomes.

You will contribute to accurate cost estimates, bid performance, and profitability while working with a tight, agile team in a growing, family-oriented firm. Kansas City market focus preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience with commercial construction projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Excel and/or estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed pricing analysis.
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Identify risks, gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Manage bid schedules, timelines, and submissions.
• Support project handoff to operations and project teams.
• Assist in developing and improving estimating processes and systems.

The Opportunity

Dynamic Construction Group is seeking a Construction Estimator to take ownership of the estimating function and play a key role in supporting continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $70,000- $80,000, depending on experience
• Performance-based incentives (structure to be finalized)

• Projects primarily within the local market
