CyberCoders is seeking an Estimator for our Dayton, OH commercial construction team. The role focuses on preparing accurate estimates for diverse commercial projects, supporting bids, and collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and owners to manage cost and schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of commercial estimating experience, strong technical/analytical skills, and proficiency with Sage Estimating and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience with a strong focus on commercial, healthcare, k12, college, industrial construction plus other projects.
• Experience tackling commercial projects in the $5M-$50M range.
• Proven proficiency with Sage Estimating; Excel and digital takeoff tools required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial projects including office, retail, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, healthcare.
• Develop detailed bid packages, scope breakdowns, and subcontractor scopes of work; solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit prices, and historical records to reflect current market conditions.
• Use Sage Estimating and other estimating/takeoff tools to create, manage, and refine estimates and bid documents.

Estimator - Commercial Construction

Location: Dayton, OH

Salary: $100K-$150K (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our commercial construction team. The Estimator will prepare accurate, competitive project estimates for commercial builds and renovations, support bidding and pre-construction activities, and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and owners to control cost and schedule. The ideal candidate has demonstrated commercial estimating experience, strong technical and analytical skills, and proficiency with Sage Estimating and common takeoff and cost-management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial projects including office, retail, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, and hospitality projects.
• Develop detailed bid packages, scope breakdowns, and subcontractor scopes of work; solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit prices, and historical records to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions.
• Use Sage Estimating and other estimating/takeoff tools to create, manage, and refine estimates and bid documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience with a strong focus on commercial, healthcare, k12, college, industrial construction plus other projects.
• Experience tackling commercial projects in the $5M-$50M range
• Demonstrated proficiency with Sage Estimating; experience with digital takeoff tools and Excel required.
• Proven track record estimating a range of project types: commercial, retail, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and residential/multi-family is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, assemblies, and construction sequencing.
• Experience using Sage, estimating databases, and familiarity with industry sectors listed above is considered a strong plus.
