Job summary

Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Systems in Mason, Ohio, is seeking an estimator to support Sales and Estimating by preparing detailed labor and material estimates for custom unitized curtain wall projects, leveraging your technical background and precise numerical skills.

You will compile comprehensive material take-offs for all scope items manufactured by Pioneer, develop budget proposals in response to client requests, analyze drawings and specifications, and collaborate with vendors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and mathematical skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player focused on shared goals.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions that align with contract specifications.
• Analyze project scope to determine the quantity and type of materials required to meet design and performance criteria.
• Support Estimators with detailed take-offs for all materials and accessories related to Pioneer-manufactured scope items.
• Assist in soliciting and evaluating material supplier quotes for outsourced components, including clarifications and side-by-side comparisons.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor outreach, tracking outstanding quotes and responses.
• Contribute to the preparation of budget proposals under supervision, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Participate in special project teams and support additional estimating-related tasks as needed.

Job Summary
