Position Summary

The Estimator is responsible for supporting the estimating team in preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid packages for heavy civil construction projects. This role assists in gathering pricing, performing plan reviews, and organizing bid documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from project drawings using AGTEK, Bluebeam, and manual methods.
• Assist in preparing material, labor, and equipment cost estimates based on project requirements.
• Solicit and track subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure adequate bid coverage.
• Organize and maintain estimate files, bid documentation, and proposal materials.
• Support the estimating team in developing scopes of work and proposal summaries.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and constructability reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to incorporate operational input into estimates.
• Update and maintain cost databases and historical pricing records.
• Assist in post-bid reviews and handoff processes to operations
