Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Collision Center Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with customers and insurance companies to estimate the cost of repairs and ensure timely completion of repairs. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of auto body repairs, and the ability to navigate insurance estimating processes and protocols.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties & Responsibilities:Greet and assist customers in the estimation process, provide support with insurance claims, and prepare detailed estimates and photos for submission and approval.Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of major Insurance Direct Repair Program (DRP) protocols, and upload estimates and images that meet DRP standards.Maintain contact with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates on the status of their vehicle and ensuring a positive customer experience.Prepare final invoices that align with the approved estimates, ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.Contact the vehicle owner ahead of time to notify them when their vehicle will be ready for pickup, keeping them informed of the timeline for completion.Work with the shop and technicians to ensure quality control throughout the repair process and ensure that repairs meet customer and manufacturer standards.Other tasks as required by management team.Required Skills & Abilities:Proficiency in insurance estimating.Experience in high-volume shop environments.Ability to properly operate all safety equipmentTeam-oriented, flexible, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.Proven track record of maintaining high customer satisfaction.At least 5+ years of experience in body shop estimating.I-Car Certifications preferred.Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Familiarity with basic automotive repair processes or terms is a plus but not essential.Must have experience with DRPEnthusiasm for the Automotive Dealership industry with a focus on customer servicePrevious experience in estimating repair costs, managing repair quotes, and working with insurance partners.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership.
