Job summary

Core & Main, based in the U.S., seeks a pricing professional to develop strategic pricing objectives and provide analytical pricing expertise. You will review quotations, assist the proposal team with estimates, and analyze market data to improve profitability and pricing tactics.

Responsibilities include gathering data to assess effectiveness, following market and competitor pricing, and identifying opportunities to improve pricing and profitability for existing accounts.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Experience in bid preparation, sales or related industry experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and 0-1 year of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.
• Determines accurate quantities related materials as measured from provided plan sets.
• Identifies materials required for the construction of facilities.
• Researches plans and specifications to determine any special material requirements; procures, pulls and returns plan sets as needed.
• Communicates with design engineer or owner to clarify any unusual or special material issues.
• Determines if supplied materials meet local/state/federal specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
