Job summary

Hallmark Glass Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced construction estimator to handle bids and budgets for glass and glazing projects. The role requires reading architectural drawings, following bid deadlines, and providing pricing for change orders on awarded work.

You will submit bids daily, assist with phone coverage, and track estimating across all submitted projects while collaborating with vendors to secure better pricing. A team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with GDS, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of fabrication and installation to understand customer needs.
• 2+ years construction estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline, no exceptions.
• Follow up on estimates.
• Provide pricing for change orders on awarded projects.
• Make site visits on specific projects.
• Submit bids daily.
• Keep track of estimating on all submitted projects.
• Assist with phone coverage when needed.
• Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from vendors.
• Must be a team player.
