Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope seeks an estimator to deliver timely, detailed estimates for architectural aluminum systems. You will analyze plans for curtainwalls, storefronts, and skylights, ensuring alignment with technical specs and project goals. Strong communication with internal teams is essential.

You will develop BOMs, perform cost analyses, and prepare bid packages to help win projects, with emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years estimating experience in commercial glazing or architectural metal.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs.
• Strong cost analysis skills using Excel and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for aluminum and hardware with digital tools.
• Develop bills of materials for complex curtainwalls, storefronts, and entrances.
• Review Division 08 specs to ensure thermal, structural, and aesthetic goals.
• Calculate total project costs including materials and labor.
• Prepare and submit bid packages and quotations to glazing/GCs.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales to offer VE options and win projects.
