Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a dedicated Estimator in Fremont to deliver detailed estimates for architectural aluminum systems, including curtainwalls and storefronts. You will analyze plans, prepare BOMs, and work with internal teams to optimize costs and secure project wins.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in commercial glazing estimating, strong blueprint interpretation, and proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or estimating experience in commercial glazing or architectural metal industry.
• Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and technical shop drawings.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Detailed take-offs for aluminum and hardware using digital tools.
• Develop BOMs for complex curtainwalls, storefronts, and entrance systems.
• Review Division 08 specs to ensure thermal, structural, and aesthetic requirements.
• Calculate total project costs including materials and manufacturing labor.
• Compile and submit bid packages and quotations to glazing and general contractors.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales to provide VE options for project wins.
