Job summary

Precise Aerospace Manufacturing is seeking an Estimator in Yorba Linda, CA to prepare cost estimates for RFQs and new projects. You will review drawings and specs, develop estimating models, and collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales to ensure competitive, profitable pricing. Office hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, $27/hr DOE.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, accurate documentation, and alignment with quality standards in a manufacturing/aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
• Previous Estimator experience in manufacturing/aerospace preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/estimating systems
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for RFQs, new projects, and existing programs
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine labor, material, tools, and overhead cost
• Develop and maintain accurate estimating models, routing, and pricing documentation
• Analyze historical data and production standards to support reliable cost projections
• Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales to validate assumptions and timelines
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes for materials, outside processing, and tooling
• Participate in contract reviews and pricing discussions as needed
• Maintain organized estimating files and databases
• Identify risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost improvement

Summary

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates and quotations for customer requests and internal projects. This role analyzes drawings, specifications, labor, materials, and production processes to support competitive pricing while ensuring profitability, quality, and delivery requirements are met. The Estimator works closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to support business objectives.

Location- Yorba Linda, CA

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm $27hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Quoting

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for RFQs, new projects, and existing programs
• Review Engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine labor, material, tools, and overhead cost
• Develop and maintain accurate estimating models, routing, and pricing documentation
• Analyze historical data and production standards to support reliable cost projections

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to validate assumptions and timelines

Qualification

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred
• Previous experience as an Estimator in manufacturing/ aerospace environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with excel and ERP/ Estimating systems
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
