Job summary

Precise Aerospace Manufacturing in Yorba Linda, CA is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce precision components. Training is provided on 1st shift for 1–2 months before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

You will operate and monitor machines, adjust settings, perform quality inspections, and maintain production records while following safety procedures and teamwork norms in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years CNC operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of machining processes and materials.
  • Capable of using precision measuring tools.
  • Good math, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor CNC machinery (Mills, lathes, drills) for production runs.
  • Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to maintain part quality.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and escalate issues when needed.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Interpret blueprints and work instructions to verify specifications.
  • Document work orders, inspection records, and production reports.
  • Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Communicate production status with team members and supervisors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency and quality.

Description
Training Schedule: W ill train on 1st shift for approximately 1–2 months to become familiar with our equipment, processes, quality requirements, and team. Upon successful completion of training, the position will transition to the 2nd shift schedule .
Job Location

Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm Training 6:00am-2:30pm

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes and quality standards. The operator plays a critical role in maintaining production flow and ensuring final products meet required tolerances and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Setup
  • Operate and monitor CNC machinery (e.g., Mills, lathes, Drills) for production runs
  • Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain part quality
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and elevate technical issues when needed
Quality & Inspection
  • Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to verify part specifications
  • Ensure all parts produced meet strict dimensional and visual standards
Maintenance & Documentation
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal operation
  • Accurately complete work orders, inspection records, and production reports
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to process efficiency and product quality
  • Support other departments or production areas as needed
  • Perform other duties to support business needs
